@naomicfisher @JuliaCa20602661 @FrithUta No one has ever said that everyone that masks is autistic. However, it's a common thing that many autistic people do in a specific way. Ignoring that fact is unscientific and prevents exploring the impacts, repercussions and potential solutions.

@JuliaCa20602661 @FrithUta The point is that this is not specific to autism. Many people (particularly teenage girls and women) mask and it has not been demonstrated that this means they are all autistic.

A 'world leading autism expert' who does not engage in contemporary research, & spouts poorly informed opinions about aspects of research she's either not bothered ever to read, or wilfully excludes If only Frith were so critical about her own work, or better yet retired.

@ben_imaging Thanks Ben for the excellent news - well done. I’m in hospital at the moment being unexpectedly admitted with a massive rectal bleeding. Was admitted Wednesday evening via ambulance to A&E where I had further massive bleeding - had a CT angiography at 2am Thursday morning!

@helenlewis I have a novel idea; how about she asks autistic people for their views and experiences. All of her theories have done nothing but damage the understanding of autistic people. Many of the ideas we still have to fight today (lack of empathy etc) Why must she continue?
