A Safer, More Precise Way to Control Genes: Introducing dRNPs 🧬 👉t1p.de/f099l Researchers at #HelmholtzMunich, in collaboration with the Helmholtz Protein Expression and Purification Platform (PEPP), have developed a CRISPR-based technology that activates genes without using DNA or viruses. This method – based on dRNPs (dCas9-VPR ribonucleoprotein complexes) – marks a significant leap forward for gene therapy and regenerative medicine, offering a safe, fast, and highly precise alternative to traditional approaches. 💡 What makes dRNPs different? ✅ DNA- and virus-free ✅ Transient and efficient gene activation ✅ Applicable to various human cell types ✅ Capable of activating multiple genes simultaneously 💬“dRNPs are a completely new option to treat cells in a disease context.
