This has stopped me from professionally moving on. And has also prevented me from contesting elections in Kerala. This is pure harassment and nothing else. Big story: No person who professes a religion other than Hinduism, Sikhism or Buddhism shall be a member of Scheduled caste. Conversion to any other religion results in loss of Scheduled caste status : Supreme Court. Basically, Dalit Christians can’t take advantage of SC protection. Qs is: does religion change end caste discrimination? Courts may need a reality check!
