@ellegist I wish I’d gotten a doula! Many insurances cover them now and the labor/delivery nurses and doctors aren’t as attentive as I thought they would be during labor. I wish I’d had a doula there by my side the whole time and help me and my husband and mom stay informed.

After 14 years planning events for a career I am now on two volunteer event committees and it has been a HUGE lesson in humility and turning my Type A off.

Our 2.5 year old still thinks only Bluey and Pixar movies exist. We don't want to watch any other kids BS so we never offer it. 10/10 recommend. I realize this can only last so long, though.

Most of the time my toddler and I are hungry or tired at the same time so I can’t blame her for crying about it because if it was socially acceptable for me to…I’d be wailing.
