📋 WHAT IS A GOVERNANCE TOKEN? A governance token grants holders voting rights within the Locus DAO. ✴️ Pendle Index Points ✴️ What are the points? Points are a measure of contribution to a certain protocol. Depending on their goals, projects issue points for different kinds of activities, e.g. liquidity provision, lending or staking. As a rule of thumb, once a protocol launches a token, a portion of these tokens are airdropped to users proportionally to their points. In the case of Pendle Index, users earn points of @eigencloud and liquid restaking protocols (@RenzoProtocol, @ether, @KelpDAO ) for staking their ETH and providing liquidity for liquid restaking tokens (LRTs) on Pendle. Where are points stored? Points are calculated and stored off-chain on a project’s backend. Pendle Index users can view the amount of points accumulated by the index in the “Points” tab on the Pendle Index page. Points and potential returns The APY of Pendle Index does not take points into account, only including PENDLE and ARB incentives, restaking yield plus LOCUS staking rewards. Even though points will eventually be converted into tokens, it is unclear how many tokens the recipients will get since distribution is done at a team’s discretion.
