QUIZ! How many lines of plain C code were required to create `rTexPacker v4.0`, excluding external libraries (raylib, raygui, rini...), and not considering comments and blank lines??? The closest correct answer (in next 24 hours) will get a FREE KEY for `rTexpacker v4.0`! 🚀😄
Ray@raysan5

rTexPacker v4.0 can pack sprites and fonts! It support many options, including sprite pivot config or text-file processing to find unique codepoints automatically! It's engine-agnostic but you have rTP importers for Unity and Godot! 🚀 Get it: raylibtech.itch.io/rtexpacker

@kinjalkishor @raysan5 Oh damn that sucks, I don't have much experience working government jobs, basically all I've done was private companies, where stuff is basically always negotiable. I'd imagine a bank wouldn't be too happy about changing their contract tho.

@LogLogGames @raysan5 Yes, I was in govt job in bank, had to take permission first (all govt jobs) even if I write a book, etc. Cannot do another business in my name (people use wife name then) (releasing a software project commercially is viewed as business), etc.

Wondering if anyone has ever managed to develop + ship + commercially-succeed with a software side-project while working on a full-time job. It seems hardly possible to me but I'd love to hear from some real experiences!

@kinjalkishor @raysan5 But does your contract actually specify you have to notify them? If it doesn't, it's none of their business to even know.

@LogLogGames @raysan5 One solution is to finish the thing covertly & inform some time before release, and then also bosses get hostile.

@kinjalkishor @raysan5 Does your contract actually prohibit it? I've only had one experience where this was a potential problem, and negotiated change in contract so that made it so I could do whatever as long as it was in a different area of business.

@norpadon as someone who does this (not to this extent but still), its about conventions … s1/s2 or a/b or x/y often have semantic meaning, just like single letter names in math, making them longer doesn’t make algorithms more readable … but ofc if there are ambiguities thats different

Why do C programmers always obfuscate their code? Are they trying to save space? Do they have to pay for each letter? Are they using some trial version of GCC that doesn't allow actual words in variable names?
