In a marriage, two are made to become one. Paul discusses sex in this context directly, “do not withhold from each other, except for short periods that are mutually agreed upon.” This is the nature of the cooperative, giving dynamic that defines a healthy marriage.
Withholding from the person you married, while simultaneously refusing to allow them to see other people, is fundamentally manipulative and controlling. There is no other way to look at it. “Unless I decide I want it, you can’t have sex.” Consider if we changed the act in question and said “unless I decide I want to have a conversation, you can’t speak.” We would obviously consider this to be absurdly abusive. You have every right to not talk to someone, but if you do this you do not have a right to stop them from talking to other people.
And yet this is what so many women think they are entitled to do when it comes to sex in a marriage.
What defines a marriage beyond anything else is exclusive sexual access. This means that good faith when it comes to sex is required to keep a marriage a marriage. That is the contract.
That doesn’t mean of course that a man shouldn’t do what he can to make his woman feel cherished, unburdened, and aroused. It certainly doesn’t mean he should simply demand sex while doing nothing for her.
However virtually no men are saying they want to take advantage of a woman like this. It’s a straw man argument.
What they are saying is that they are tired of having sex - which is how men feel validated in their masculinity and connected to a woman - constantly weaponized as a way to get them to do things. They are tired of something they expected to have at least somewhat regularly when they signed the marriage papers being contingent on constantly shifting, amorphous emotional goal posts.
Which is why the entire framing of the post below is bad faith. Rather than say “I agree this is what men need, but just remember this is what women need too,” it is instead “how dare my husband feel entitled to sex when I don’t feel like it, and by the way it's his fault I don't.”
The former seeks to find common ground and bring men and women closer together, the latter is entitlement, and seeks to turn a cooperative dynamic that has a misunderstanding into a power dynamic with winners and losers.
Which is unfortunate, because when someone is acting in bad faith that means nothing you do will ever be enough for them. They will seek maximum extraction rather than reasonable contribution. To the extent you get anything you want from these people, it’s only by humiliating yourself, and even these scraps are only transient. It’s like negotiating with a terrorist.
So all you can do with these women is prepare to leave.
Often this wakes a woman up, because without the ability to control you, her win-lose game shifts into lose-lose. Your willingness to walk is deterrence - you are escalating the costs of her behavior - and when you are dealing with bad faith women this is the only way to change the dynamic.
The bottom line is this:
Never stay with a woman who weaponizes intimacy against you. So long as a woman is in the state of mind where this is acceptable, she is incapable of receiving love, and incapable of creating a mutually fulfilling relationship. You can't fix problems with her because she is not interested in working as a team.
And for the jaded guys out there, this really isn't all women. There are plenty of good ones out there. But they don't respect men who don't respect themselves, and you won't attract them until you stop letting bad women control you.

“Withholding sex” is one of the most revealing phrases men use, because it assumes sex was already his and she’s refusing to release it. Watch what usually comes before it. He did the dishes. He paid a bill. He quoted religion. He acted sad. He found a dozen ways to frame her body as the reward for his effort. But the question is simple. Did she want him in that moment? If the answer is no, she wasn’t withholding. She didn’t have desire to give. She was angry, hurt, exhausted, disconnected, repulsed, unseen. And women have been so trained to believe refusal is cruelty that they’ll force themselves through sex they don’t want just to avoid being called abusive. That is the sickness underneath the whole argument. Men call it “withholding” because “she doesn’t want me” requires self-reflection. “Withholding” lets him stay entitled.

All of this was carried out by predominantly South Asian, Pakistani men, with smaller numbers from Somali, Iranian, Syrian, Turkish, Bangladeshi, and Iraqi men. And yet perpetrators were let off, authorities turned a blind eye, and it continues to this day because people are scared of being called racist. Anyone who covered for this needs to face the death penalty alongside all of those who hurt these girls. I'm glad Rupert Lowe and everyone else behind this put this together; it needs to be seen by everyone.

First of all he is quoting scripture incorrectly to justify sex as a duty, secondly sex has nothing to do with love and validation, as many love more without ever had sex, to family or friends. Lastly he is trying to justify polygamy or force wife to which is heretical.
If the attraction is gone why continue? Or man needs to get into shape and stop being a pussy as demanding or doing favors to get sex is a turn off.
