@Santos4Congress Interesting. Most Americans are charged overdraft fees because banks are deducting fees that the customer isn’t aware of. Santos’ accounts are delinquent because he bounced a plethora of checks.

Far to many times I’ve struggled like many Americans. Our accounts over draw on a simple monthly fee & then we get hit with a overdraft fee & the banks have absolutely no mercy. Now our taxpayer dollars will be used to bail out the same institutions that have no mercy on us. 🤔

I have now been enshrined in late night TV history with all these impersonations, but they are all TERRIBLE so far. Jon Lovitz is supposed to be one of the greatest comedians of all time and that was embarrassing— for him not me! These comedians need to step their game up.

@ToddHastie @LACoSheriff Your logic doesn’t hit an important point. It assumes gun related crimes wouldn’t increase in # or severity if Cal had looser gun laws. It could be that but for California’s strict laws, gun crimes would be much worse. You’re arguing a causal fallacy.

Scott Boras tells me that after the Giants cancelled their press conference yesterday, they indicated they still wanted to negotiate about Correa. But he didn’t hear anything more from them. Twelve hours later, the Mets deal got worked out.

@ChavieHalpert @susanslusser Players agree to and sign a term sheet with the team. The term sheet informs the actual player contract, but finalizing the contract is contingent upon passing the physical. The physical is probably an agreement that the players association and MLB came to.

@Johnson_DavidW @susanslusser Well, I’ve heard that Correa still needs to pass his physical for the Mets, and no owner would sign a generous contract like this without diligence on health. Regardless, the contract hasn’t been signed yet.

@susanslusser Sounds like SFG docs had legit concerns re_health; Boras either knew ahead of time, or quickly cleared with the Mets, that they'd sign without an out-clause on the issue, so when Farhan hit pause, it was bye felisha.

@MrBradleyTodd @susanslusser That’s a good question. Maybe we’ll learn about signing mechanics now. And the old adage doesn’t apply here for the Giants: “I’m as good as my word.” Maybe teams will finalize and execute contracts before announcing press conferences from now on.

@susanslusser I don’t understand how Correa/Boras pivoted so quickly to the Mets…isn’t a contract already signed by the time a press conference is scheduled? And if so, wouldn’t the parties have to mutually agree to terminate for Correa to go elsewhere? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Keep digging @susanslusser
