. $MRVL is demonstrating that the real bottleneck for AI is GPU to GPU communication speeds. They are going to use MicroLEDs in their 160+ Tb/s switch. $FABC, at 1/1000 the value of MRVL, will be building MicroLED inteconnects (for GPU to GPU communications) with THE state of the art technology, using $KOPN. $FABC will jointly own the IP and be exclusively selling it into AI. This announcement by $MRVL today (and the endorsement by $NVDA) shows that $FABC will have a seat at the table with their IP and tech. This is the biggest bottleneck in AI now.

MicroLED optical interconnect targets GPU links to replace copper wiring. More here: thedatacenterengineer.com/news/microled-… Kopin and Fabric.AI are collaborating on a MicroLED-based optical interconnect aimed at replacing copper wiring between GPUs and other high-performance processors in AI infrastructure. Fabric.AI has placed a $15 million purchase order with Kopin to fund a demonstration chipset for the effort. The companies are calling the approach Neural I/o, built on Kopin’s MicroLED technology and its patented, bi-directional NeuralDisplay architecture. The core idea is to repurpose programmable MicroLED pixels as optical transceivers, using each pixel as a high-speed transmitter that sends digital bits optically for chip-to-chip and system-to-system connectivity.

$FABC expects to demonstrate its flagship Neural I/o™ MicroLED-based optical interconnect platform by EOY. $FABC also has ~$30 million in cash and cash equivalents, which is enough to fund operations through Neural I/o™ demonstration milestone. PR 🔗 bit.ly/4nDdG3l

$KOPN regaining levels above $5 again. I have to say, one of the wildest price actions of a company after an earnings call I've seen in 10 years of investing. One thing is for sure, IMO: $KOPN is already being rerated as a semi heavy or hybrid semi - defense company rather than just defense. We should see high multiples and analysts rerating their PTs higher in the coming weeks or months. The CEO's guidance rerating on the call was something no one expected. Because you heard all the analysts kept asking about what is included in that guidance. It does includes $FABC orders. They are already working on this in this quarter or potentially the next, but we'll get more color this year for sure. Will listen to the earnings call again.

$FABC and $KOPN announce the signing of NDAs with two major chipmakers and the appointment of Bill Maffucci as Head of Development for the jointly developed Neural I/o™ chip program. Full press release here: bit.ly/4uvNKZE @kopin @jaltucher

My guest today is Brian Chesky (@bchesky), founder and CEO of Airbnb and one of the great consumer founders of the last 20 years. Paul Graham coined "founder mode" based on Brian's experience running Airbnb. This conversation is about what comes after it, what he calls AI founder mode, and how it will force founders to focus even more on the details. We talk about his eleven-star exercise for finding product market fit, why your first hire should be a recruiter, and why Airbnb's $100B IPO became one of the saddest days of his life. Brian still comes across like the 17 year-old at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) who picked to study industrial design. His heroes are all artists. Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Walt Disney, and Steve Jobs, all of whom were working the week they died because they loved what they did. Rick Rubin taught him that an artist is only an artist when they make things for themselves. Now Brian believes AI is the opportunity for all of us to do the same. Enjoy!
