Today students helped decorate our class tree! So much fun! We have so much to be thankful for! We even had a phone call from Santa! Such a great way to end the week!

By removing letter-grades and percentages from the picture, we're also getting rid of rank-and-sort. We're saying goodbye to trophy culture. Instead, we're saying that we are a learning community. We pursue proficiency together because we are all developing learners. #BCed

We took a look at some new Fall/Autumn words in our big book today! Students absolutely loved using the white boards to write out some new words and draw a picture to go with them! 🐿🎃🍁🍂🌾🌽

Our class is loving patterning so much! Pattern Team work posters! Working together! The students were so proud of their work!

With our reading buddies we had a #thankfultuesday on a nature walk in our beautiful school yard, we explored around us, some conversations overheard “wow, I feel the beautiful sun”, “I hear so many birds”. We are so blessed to live where we do, somewhere safe💜@ThomasMoreOCSB

Celebrating all our hard work this week with our “Fun Friday” taking some time to enjoy each other’s company! Classroom family bonding time! The students loved their first Fun Friday in grade 1! Happy weekend everyone🥰
