We had a series of excellent presentations during our student lunch today including, getting to know our NFBI scholarship finalists, presenting our student excellence award, learning about on the Illinois career mentoring program and a presentation on NFB EQ.

Our fantastic national student representative Elisabeth Rouse delivered a dynamic report on the work of the National Association of Blind Students, during our general sessions this morning.

Our General sessions of our 2022 state convention are underway with Adelmo Vigil, our national representative delivering a robust national report.

@HeartlandSignal As a blind person I am astonished that you would suggest that I be denied the ballot. When voting was inaccessible to me b/c that is how it is designed, I have occasionally sought assistance. Are your seriously contemplating disenfranchising 10% of our population. I PAY TAXES 2!

GOP candidate for Minnesota secretary of state Kim Crockett, who would be the state’s chief election officer, says that people requiring assistance because they do not speak English or are disabled “raises the question: Should they be voting?”
