The Ladybird alpha channel will start some time in 2026. It's going to be rough! The main purpose of the alpha is to collect bug reports and learn where to focus for beta. We hope people will understand this and not get too excited :)

Chrome looks set to ship an LLM Prompt API to the web platform. At Mozilla, we oppose this API. Scoop: Microsoft is working on major upgrades to the Start menu on Windows 11 that enable new customization options along with performance improvements that will keep the menu responsive even under heavy load. I hear that the new WinUI 3 Start menu that's in the works will finally allow users to manually resize the interface between small and large layouts. It will also let users disable entire sections of the menu, including the Recommended feed or all apps list via toggles in Settings, giving you ultimate control over what actually appears in the menu. There are also several performance improvements in the works, which should make opening and searching via the Start menu feel fast and responsive at all times, with less lag or delays.
