Microsoft just put an end to one of Windows 11's most annoying traits: The long update process when setting up a PC for the first time.
Until now, Windows 11's OOBE would force users to install the latest updates before they arrived at the desktop, which often resulted in the process taking up to 30 minutes to complete before you could even use your PC.
Starting today, that process is now optional! Users will be given the option to skip the update process, letting them continue through setup and reaching the desktop in just a few short minutes Hooray! windowscentral.com/microsoft/wind…
