Source says AAF teams making players pay for their own flights home. What a clown show this was.

Now I have an ask for each of you. Thousands of people lost their jobs today. 400 football players lost an opportunity. All many of them know is football. Don't take the cheap take in this moment. The cheap take is, "I told you so" or note the number of days the league lasted.

Our visions were truly beautiful. In each of our paths, whether as educator, NFL player, attorney or doctor, we saw instances of football players exploited. I've met football players who can't read. We've seen injuries unreported. Players left with nothing. We wanted to end that.

I signed a consulting agreement with @TheAAF on Nov. 1 to build a career and education program for players. It was the opportunity of a career, because as a first generation college student whose own father doesn't even have a high school diploma, I know the value of education.

I've worked in sports since 2011, when I started as a reporter. For 8-years, I've reported other peoples' news. It's been interesting today sitting back and watching something I care deeply about be reported on.
