@victor_madrigal @ehgovuk @StuartAndrew @GOVUK @UN_SPExperts @UKMissionGeneva @victor_madrigal, it can not go understated the level of tolerance for transphobia is right now in the UK, in some cases the very person you are with in the room supports efforts to label trans people as “other” and not worthy of respect or tolerance.

Today I started my #UKCountryVisit meeting the Minister for Equalities + having 9 briefing sessions on key areas. In the next 2 weeks, I will meet govt & civil society reps in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Belfast & Manchester to assess the situation of #LGBT people in the Kingdom.

This will be an “interesting” visit. If you can contact @victor_madrigal any of his team as they go about their meetings it must be highlighted the level of top down hate that trans people are subject to in the UK

This is a government entirely invested now in vilifying trans people’s lives for political gain, aided by a biased media. As our local elections gear up for the 4th and beyond that, we still have the opportunity to show them just how wrong they are for this
