The final deadline for negotiation on the exploit terminated as of 10am(UTC+9) today. We are now extending the bounty to the public. As a maximum reward, we are offering $8M USD. Those who provide decisive intelligence that leads to identifying the attacker or recovering stolen assets will receive the bounty. Orbit Chain Community Members. At around 2:30 PM(UTC+9) today, Orbit Chain Team notified the attackers the final deadline for negotiations. All communications based on standard protocols, including bug bounty will terminate after 10:00 AM(UTC+9) on 11th January 2024. If the attackers do not respond or reject the offer, the Orbit Chain Team will open the bounty to the public and continue tracking down the attackers with the active support from all contributors around the world. However, needless to say, the negotiation will terminate immediately if DPRK or its related organization is found to be responsible for the exploit. The Orbit Chain Team will use every available resource to track the attackers until the end and will continue our efforts to prevent any attempt to withdraw stolen assets. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our Web3 ecosystem community for their unwavering support in this regard.

Orbit Chain team is fully committed to retrieving the lost assets of Orbit Bridge. Given our primary focus on recovering 'user' assets among all assets stolen from Orbit Bridge, all assets owned by the Orbit Bridge team will remain stationary until full restoration is achieved, irrespective of whether or not the bridge is reopened. The Orbit Chain team is actively cooperating with national intelligence and law enforcement agencies in their investigation. We apologize that we are unable to share much with the community at this time due to the ongoing investigation. Following the completion of the audit, the results and related information will be made available to the community with the consent of the law enforcement authorities. Furthermore, we are in discussion with various partners regarding the actual recovery of the Orbit Bridge stolen assets, and we anticipate sharing additional details with the community shortly. We request that the community refrain from disseminating and spreading unverified information outside of official channels. Thank you.

The Orbit Chain team would like to reiterate our priority, which is to track and recover the assets stolen by the attacker. From the moment of the attack, we have been closely cooperating with both domestic and international law enforcement and security experts. At the same time, in order to minimize any long-term effects, we are also cooperating with key partners like the Klaytn Foundation (@klaytn_official) to formulate a viable recovery plan. The Orbit Chain team is committed to doing everything necessary to the best of our abilities to make sure the missing assets are recovered. The possibility remains that the road to recovery may take some time, and we would like to convey our deepest appreciation to the community and our partners for their support and patience during this difficult time.

Orbit Chain Team has identified a significant clue in the process of tracing the stolen funds a few hours ago and is intensifying its efforts to track the fund based on the clue. In addition, Orbit Bridge Deployer has generated additional IDM transactions to urge the attacker for resolution of the situation at multiple key wallet addresses associated with the attack. The Orbit Chain Team will not cease its efforts to resolve the issue promptly and sincerely requests active participation from the community in this regard. Orbit Chain team has developed a system for investigation support and cause analysis with the Korean National Police Agency and KISA (Korea Internet & Security Agency), enabling a more proactive and comprehensive investigation approach. Furthermore, we are also discussing close cooperation with domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies.
