Financial operating system for institutions to bring assets on-chain - manage, move and earn - with compliance, security and privacy.

Banks struggle with on-chain products because there is no operating system for it. Traditional banking products all run on a core system that ties everything together. But when it comes to digital assets and yield products nothing equivalent exists. Gateway is a financial operating system for the on-chain economy. With this operating system, institutions can bring assets on-chain, move capital globally, and generate yield while owning the full economics. Now institutions can launch multiple financial products in weeks, not months, while owning their infrastructure and retaining the economics they generate.

FCR advances “safe” blocks based on client-side rules without requiring a hard fork, which is a significant improvement for UX. But it is important to distinguish guarantees. Finality (Casper FFG) is backed by slashable stake, where reverting a finalized block requires burning at least 33% of total staked ETH. FCR introduces no economic security, as there is no penalty if its conditions are violated. Under adverse conditions, FCR may stall or delay confirmations, but it does not compromise safety or produce incorrect confirmations, falling back toward finality when needed. FCR is therefore best understood as a complementary mechanism optimized for speed, not a replacement for finality.

Institutions don't struggle to decide on on-chain finance. They struggle to own it. Vendor stacks split your economics. Long deployments kill momentum. And every new product means a new integration. We built a single platform where institutions own their infrastructure, launch on-chain financial products in weeks, not months, and keep the yield they generate. One platform. Five layers. Every product you need to run on-chain finance end to end.

You can't bring institutions on-chain without solving privacy and interoperability first. Our co-founder and CTPO, @mandrigin, is joining @lfdecentralized for a webinar on practical approaches to solving both, drawing from his experience building Ethereum-compatible modular infrastructure for institutions and regulated use cases.

Building an on-chain neobank used to take years. Today, it can be launched in 90 days. We spent years building the infrastructure layer that makes this possible, so teams don’t have to start from scratch on compliance, licensing, and system architecture. The entire process runs within a single infrastructure stack. Compliance is native to the architecture, settlement runs on Ethereum and wallet, ledger, and reporting layers come out of the box.

Institutions across finance are having the same conversation right now. How do we launch blockchain-based financial products without breaking our compliance setup or rebuilding systems that took decades to build? The demand and the technology are both there, but the path from legacy infrastructure to on-chain products is still messy. Legacy cores were never designed for this. Licensing takes months. Most institutions already know where finance is going, but the real gap is infrastructure. Closing that gap requires a partner who understands both worlds: legacy finance and blockchain technology. Gateway is built by long-standing Ethereum contributors and institutional system architects. We work with institutions as an infrastructure partner, helping them move on-chain with compliance, control, and confidence built into every layer.

Does adopting blockchain mean ripping out your existing systems and starting from scratch? That assumption keeps institutions on the sidelines. Traditional core banking systems still do what they were designed to do. They process millions of transactions, meet regulatory requirements, and carry decades of operational trust. What institutions need is a layer that sits between their existing infrastructure and the blockchain network. Something that translates between old rails and new rails without forcing a full migration. We act as that layer, helping teams bridge systems and translate between traditional financial infrastructure and Ethereum. There’s no need to replace your core systems or your compliance setup. You gain access to on-chain settlement, tokenized assets, and programmable finance, on top of what already works.

Every regulated institution eventually faces the same question: build blockchain infrastructure in-house or work with a provider that already has it. Building can look attractive on paper. Full control, custom architecture, and everything tailored to specific needs. In practice, however, it often involves hiring specialized teams, navigating compliance requirements from the ground up, maintaining uptime on unfamiliar infrastructure, and taking on the operational risks that come with running new systems in a regulated environment. For many organizations, the associated timelines alone can make internal initiatives difficult to sustain. Buying has its own considerations. Many off-the-shelf solutions are designed either by crypto-native teams still adapting to regulatory expectations, or by legacy vendors extending existing products to support blockchain use cases. Alignment with institutional requirements can vary. In reality, institutions often look for a middle path. Infrastructure that integrates with existing systems, operates within established compliance frameworks, and performs reliably in production without requiring teams to develop deep blockchain expertise overnight. Extend what already works. Launch new products on modern rails. Maintain your compliance posture.

Ethereum is becoming the financial infrastructure layer for the next decade. Major banks and asset managers are already running pilot programs across areas like on-chain settlement, tokenized bonds, and a growing range of other real-world asset and infrastructure use cases. Why Ethereum specifically? It comes down to a few things. Most battle tested programmable settlement layer in existence. Neutral by design, with the deepest liquidity, largest developer ecosystem, and years of uptime behind it. For institutions that need reliability above everything else, that track record speaks for itself. And none of this means replacing what already works. Ethereum operates as a layer that extends existing systems. Same compliance standards, same operational controls. Just faster, more efficient rails underneath. Settlement in seconds instead of days. Compliance embedded in the infrastructure itself. The institutions building on Ethereum today are setting the standard for the future.

For enterprises, the discussion around AI agents is framed as security, but the deeper issue is compliance. Security tries to prevent what an agent might do. Compliance requires proving what the agent actually did, under whose authority, and within which permissions. Without identity, every agent is a black box. Black boxes don't survive audits. They don't satisfy regulators. And they don't get approved by legal. Enterprise adoption of AI agents depends on the ability to enforce governance and ensure auditability. If compliance is blocking AI agents in your organization, let’s talk. gateway.fm/ai-agent-permi…

The new Presto dashboard UI is live. Cleaner, more modern, and much easier to navigate. As we roll this out, we’re also uncovering features we developed that were previously available only through direct tech support requests. We also have a very cool roadmap of new features that will come very soon.

Gateway is the infrastructure layer powering @0xMiden's development. Miden is the programmable privacy network built for the next generation of compliant finance. A network like this needs rock-solid infrastructure behind it. As one of Miden's infrastructure partners, we're expanding our collaboration to support the network with gRPC nodes, faucets, and block explorers. Both Testnet and Devnet are now hosted by Gateway. Proud to support the Miden ecosystem with enterprise-grade infrastructure.

What changes when agents run within a structured control plane? Compliance review cycles compress from 1 to 2 days to under 2 hours. Policy violations shift from being a recurring concern to effectively eliminated. Data leakage exposure is reduced from levels reaching up to 8% of operations to under 0.5 percent. Governance is often framed as a constraint on automation. In practice, it is what makes automation deployable at enterprise scale. If this is something you're exploring, feel free to reach out. gateway.fm/ai-agent-permi…
