@bbctheview @MarkCarruthers7 @Diana_uup M2 stopped at Randalstown, M1 stopped at Dungannon. University built in Coleraine rather than The Maiden City. Under which party’s watch did these things happen! And the UUP cry about disadvantages west of the Bann? Wise-up @Diane_uup

Amazing isn't it... the DUP can see a GAA flag from 80 miles away but can't see or hear the sectarianism at a band parade they attended.. even from bands they support

@BBCNewsNI Sinking it? You could spend £450 million on the city and it'd still look terrible

@BBCNewsNI @JP_Biz Well of course I would much rather it wa spent in Derry but I do understand the BBC constraints you are under. Upgrade the riverside walk on the Foyle/Letterkenny Road.

@DohertyEug69161 @sinnfeinireland @PearseDoherty My ppl fought against the brits. But my generation, we don't care for violence. We want politics only. Personally I've no interested in unification. We have borders all over Europe. We need to get used to them.

Ireland v Czechia: Government must act to end the blocking of audiences in the North – @PearseDoherty "The blocking of content on RTÉ from viewers in the North is scandalous and it becomes even sharper during these big national moments." sinnfein.ie/news/ireland-v…

@sinnfeinireland @PearseDoherty We work and pay taxes in dublin. The ppl in the north don't contribute 2our revenue. If they pay tax to our government, then that would be a different matter.

Would be interested to hear what’s happening with diesel prices on forecourts in the Republic this morning. Based on current estimated price in NI if diesel gets down to about €1.97 then it will be cheaper in the Republic than NI.

Dunnes says it’s going to invest €15m to refurb its store at Foyleside including a new cafe. (If you haven’t been in a Dunnes recently their fit outs & merchandising are really good.)

Someone is criticizing my use of the phrase “these islands” in reference to the UK and Ireland. They think I should say “British Isles”. Others think I should say “Britain and Ireland”. I’m open to “Atlantic Archipelago — poetic, but I doubt it would work on-air. Thoughts?

Given the recent weather (and the fact that we supposedly have 99 words for rain in Ireland!), I’m officially claiming recent conditions as “Bascadh.” For anyone unfamiliar, Bascadh means a proper drenching — a relentless beating from rain or wind. 🌧️ Roll on Friday for sunshine.

Serious question. Is @Translink_NI’s Belfast Grand Central Station the only major transport hub in Europe where you can buy a coffee, beer, sandwich, even your dinner for that night, but where you CAN’T buy a newspaper or magazine?

@esc_gabe This was one day when I was so geared up to try and get tickets, succeeded many times. This year, it wasn't even on my radar. Israhell has destroyed the Eurovision Song Contest, which I first watched live on TV in 1971 after we, Ireland, won in 1970.

This is a day that once filled me with nerves and excitement in the hope I could get tickets. Today just... doesn't feel like that. I don't even have FOMO not getting them.

20 minutes after their release, tickets are still available for every Eurovision show except for the live SF2 and Final. I'm sure all of these shows will sell out, eventually. But I can't remember a year since 2017 where every show didn't fill within minutes.
