An update on Perkeep from @bradfitz and @lejatorn: groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/… Also mirrored on our @opencollect page: opencollective.com/perkeep/update… Code changes still welcome, but pace slowing down now without @lejatorn being full-time and with @bradfitz having limited time.

We now support blob storage over SSH+SFTP: godoc.org/perkeep.org/pk… github.com/perkeep/perkee… Feedback welcome, but it currently requires using the low-level JSON config format which we're replacing soon with TOML (and we'll only auto-migrate the high-level JSON format).

.@lejatorn arrived in Seattle on Friday for @lfnw. 🌲 We've been hacking on @PerkeepOrg together ever since. Tons of progress! Aiming for release in next few days. 🖥🎉

So, I wrote a HEIF parser, in #golang of course, to get metadata out of iOS HEVC *.heic etc files for @PerkeepOrg. That was, uh, ... interesting? If you've never had the joy of reading ISO/MP4 BMFF files, uh, I wouldn't say you're _missing_ it, Bob.
