Perfect news for Barcelona this weekend — clear sunny skies all three days with track temps expected to hit 48-52°C.
Pirelli has gone one step softer than usual — C3 as the hard, C4 as medium, and C4/C5 in the soft window.
Why? Barcelona is normally a one-stop snooze-fest because the track isn’t very abrasive and teams can stretch stints easily. Softer compounds force more degradation, more pit stops and actually bring the hard tyre into play instead of it sitting unused in the garage.
With 2026 cars running hotter and generating more downforce, tyre management becomes the biggest decider. Lewis has always been a master in these hot conditions — this could play perfectly into Ferrari’s hands.
Two-stop chaos or a clever one-stop masterclass? What’s your prediction?
