Why the fuck should my son have to work 55 plus hours a week when I didn’t and neither did his grandparents or great grandparents ffs.

Why does Gen Z feel incapable of getting a second job, or part-time work? If he only has one job, he can work fifteen hours extra a week stacking shelves and save that for a house - and stop blaming other people for his inactivity.

The real reason one person can keep weight off easier than 99% of other people is genetics. I am Nick sure would argue, but people want to feel empowered... they want internal credit for their own "struggle" when they have no concept of what other peoples struggles are.
Its like Lebron James saying that the only reason he is good at basket ball is because he played every day. The fact that he is 6'9" with natural atheletic abilty probably helped a little as well. I could train 10x more than Lebron and I would never be more than a mediocre basket ball player.

One of the main reasons I can keep weight off easier than 99% of people: I never allowed myself to get fat. I've stayed between 195 and 200 lbs for my entire adult life. Once you allow yourself to get fat, your body will work against you in every biological way forever working to get back up to that weight. You will burn less calories at rest than a metabolically healthy person. This metabolic disfunction increases as you throw more intense, crazy diets at your body. Your metabolism enters a state of constant fear, never knowing when you might starve it again. Long term consistency is the key! Stay on it early.

@DrEenfeldt Eating less is only one positive. It stops compulsive behaviors of all kinds by reducing the crave chatter. Food literally becomes an inconvenient fuel you need. It actually proves that being fat is more to do with a chemical imbalance than lazy eating.

Absolutely not. There’s only 8 weeks left in the school year and I love my students too much to bail on them. But I’d definitely quit the moment the dismissal bell rings on the last day.

@tmsilverman It really is another form of addiction. 12 step programs work, but you can’t avoid food like you can alcohol. That’s why GLP-1 works on all addictions not just food compulsion.

How dare teachers not bow down to Amber’s demands and work over the weekend and have personal lives too! Who do these teachers think they are wanting to have time with their own families outside of work? As a matter of fact, they should just live in their classrooms.

So my daughter had a test and asked her teacher if she was going to grade them over the weekend so she could know her grade on Monday. Her teachers reply “I’m not spending my weekend grading papers.” Okay then.. moving forward my children will not spending their after school hours doing hours of homework. They will not spending their weekend working on projects. They can do that during school time then.
