My hot take (pun intended) is that hotness matters at the margins. Hotness doesn't win elections, but in the age of constant visual media, a lack thereof can hurt.
Ex. I think Sam Brown would have defeated Jacky Rosen in 2024 given Trump won Nevada by 3 if he wasn't so scarred.
