@JerusalemDemsas I don’t know who’s written it but I could. TLDR, I think that while poly can theoretically work, heterosexual poly is embedded in the patriarchy and in practice, it often ends up being the age-old “man takes mistress, forces wife to accept it or he’ll leave her” concept.

I can't stand it when people who actively hate a creator or a piece of media still continue to watch it and engage with it under guise of "critique" and it's like, you're wasting your time and your energy being mad about something you aren't being forced to watch.

Over the years, I've conditioned myself to consider books and film/TV adaptations as separate entities, so I can enjoy both even when they have very little in common, or in the case of Bridgerton, I can ignore the books exist since they're annoying and the show is charming.
