I'm sad to report that Jack Plants has passed away. Their dad called me this morning to give me the news. They were found in their apt in Richmond. They were frustrating but always a great friend, bright charismatic and creative. They moved across the country on a whim with me

So in his initial Twitlonger, Cody says, "I tried coming out a few times to people and even lied to make the details seem way "worse" than they were because I thought it was the only way I'd get acceptance for it". Which at multiple points in this Twitlonger would suggest Hax was not the only person he told this to, and that he knew a worse story would garner support (aka sympathy). But in his new document he says, "a bunch of people have framed this as I lied about having sex with my mom for sympathy and then bragged about it (these two things don’t even make sense together) which is the most disgusting, vile thing you can ever do while having the audacity to neglect a simple fucking fact check with the person." No one is framing anything. You literally admit to lying about having sex with your mom for sympathy in your own document that you posted in July of 2020 (linked below). The fact that he's pretending like these archives of his own statements don't exist is insane to me. "It was never brought up by me in any capacity until the discord messages I saw in 2020 literally making fun of my sexual assault, and had those not existed I never would’ve spoken about it again." This isn't even true simply because they talked about it at Pound 2019, (not 2018 as Cody suggests), and then he voluntarily made a Twitlonger discussing it again to come clean. We can debate about whether your mom was moist or not, but that's an entirely different conversation. Cody also completely misses the reason why the $20k joke has stuck. It's because right after Hax passed away, he mentioned how it would've gone badly for Hax if Cody brought up the fact that he didn't accept his $20k, while clearly using the existence of the offer, several times on stream and on Twitter, to absolve him of all criticism. Plenty of people provided support in private. Some, like me, literally had to do it primarily through DM's because of public perception. Cody could've easily done it publicly and had significant effect for the cause. He chose not to for entirely selfish reasons. He even acknowledged that a boycott would work, and then contradicted himself in the same stream by saying it would've done nothing, and even now announced that he would boycott events that didn't ban Mang0. So he was either lying then, or he's lying now. Cody is a self-proclaimed habitual liar and manipulator, and over half of this document is spent appealing to authority and emotion. Then he tries to shift all the blame onto the group chat as if the community's fucked system didn't exacerbate the issue for years. Had it not been for their unwavering arrogance, discord trolls would've never been a factor to begin with. If this is what your attorney's told you to post, maybe you should've stayed in law school. Still waiting on that legal action that totally wasn't just an empty threat btw.
