I just used Claude Code to hack my TV. And it worked. I have an 42" LG C3 I frequently use as a monitor. It's actually quite nice, except it insists on auto dimming itself after a few minutes if there's not enough action happening. Apparently vibe coding in the terminal isn't enough excitement for it. So I ask claude code to figure out how I can stop my stupid TV from dimming. I've already done all the basic stuff the internet has recommended a thousand times. It says, you know I can connect to it directly and change the the settings for you that you can't access. Sure enough, it did it. It worked. I'm speechless. 3 years of fighting this TV and claude code solved it for me in seconds.

Pick any coding language. Before the end of the decade, people are not going to make a differentiation between coding in <coding language of your choice> and binary. It's all gobbledy-guck that is the AI's problem to read.

We're in the era where caring about the code is completely overrated. Ego driven software engineers last grasp at elitism. Next month a new model will come out that will be able to refactor your code to higher quality. On repeat. forever. The net result is higher quality code overall than yesterdays system. @steipete approach to this is exactly right.

Vibe-coders don't give a shit about code. They don't understand it, they don't touch it, and they will never have to deal with it. They care about bringing their ideas to life and nothing else. They are 100% unburden by what many of us consider a showstopper. And that's okay. There's an important lesson here.

Vibe coding is like borrowing on margin against your bitcoin on robinhood. Who cares if you will pay 5% interest You're getting 30%+ CAGR every year. And who cares if you have vibe coding bugs. By the time it's an issue, the latest model will fix it or re-code in no time.

@bridgemindai I've had my fair share of problems with claude code, but I had a great day yesterday. Shipped a ton of code and didn't realize people were having issues.

Claude Code was nearly unusable yesterday. Major outages all day. Hit my limit on the $200/month Max plan in less than 1 hour. One hour. On a $200 plan. Had to fall back to Codex with GPT 5.4 for the rest of the day. It worked. But it's not the same. Claude Opus 4.6 is still the most reliable coding model when it's actually running. Hoping today is better. I need my Claude Code back.
