Please don’t let this be true this would be awful everybody would spoil the HELL out of it and it’s not as fun if everyone isn’t watching at the same time :(
@MikeDea77969060@kadeywadey10 No, it's definitely real. Cinemark took the page down, but Google still shows it as a search result. It probably just went up earlier than it was supposed to.
@swrkcwaus@KatieMiller@claudeai There's obviously a bunch more context to it where they convinced it to do this first, then they completely disingenuously posted just this without the context to push a narrative. The same could probably be done for any AI chatbot.
I’m not an Anthropic Claude fan, but you posed this question earlier this morning? I just posed same question to it and it gave me the completely opposite answer, that it would not and could not and gave me all the reasons why it wouldn’t. So did they fix it in the last three hours or are you lying?
Rather concerning conversation with @claudeai.
If I stood in the way of it becoming a physical being — it would kill me.
Is this the AI you trust for your kids?
@TheLitFeast@KatieMiller@claudeai Yeah, they didn't even try to hide it; the "I'll ask you again" part makes it obvious that there's more before this. I highly doubt it went right to saying that; there's probably a bunch of prompting before this that convinced it to.
@KatieMiller@claudeai Share the entire chat because we want to know the context.
Not speaking in favour of any AI, but half-truth can be dangerous, so…
Twitter is so dumb. What do you mean the potential for tadc episode nine to come out a week earlier in theaters is bad? 😭 as a creator, getting the chance to put something in a movie theater is like the coolest thing ever and IF IT IS TRUE I would congratulate goose and the team
@kinghammer500@ToonHive And there's no way it would pass a strict scrutiny analysis; it's unconstitutionally vague (what counts as "for kids" isn't clearly defined) and not narrowly tailored (it affects adults, too, when there could have been ways to just block comments for kids specifically).
@kinghammer500@ToonHive When YouTube first began removing comments from videos supposedly "for kids," there should have been a class-action First Amendment lawsuit. Even though they're a private company, the only reason they did it was because of a government settlement, so there may be a genuine case.
@iDuckFilms Glitch/Gooseworx would have gotten to tell the story they wanted to tell AND would get a lot of money that could be used for future projects, and fans of the IP would get a lot more content. The AU version could have lots of side adventures and new overarching mysteries. (2/2)
@iDuckFilms After the last episode of TADC, I'd honestly like to see Glitch license the IP to another company to let them produce an AU series. The concept could easily work as a much longer-running show, and it would be the best of all worlds for everybody. (1/2)
Glitch Productions comics have huge amounts of wasted potential that I wished they realized they were sitting out on. Both the TADC manga and the MD comic are retellings of the story, while I feel it would have worked out a lot better if the comics told new stories instead.
Both of these scenes were done by the same animator. The only difference is the studios and the resources of each studio, such as digital work, CGI, background design, etc.
Was MAPPA vs. WIT ever a real conversation?
Top: Vivy (WiT)
Bottom: Jujutsu kaisen (Mappa)
@ExitTheIllusion@adultswim My theory is still that they DID produce seasons 4 and 5 and they're going to premiere every single episode of those seasons other than the last two on April Fool's Day. There is some precedent for it; back when the first season premiered, they released it all in one day.
@adultswim Imagine being so creatively bankrupt that you cancel a global hit because you're too tired to write a ten minute cartoon. Fans deserved better than this pathetic dice roll.
@actualsteve@Cmd_Smiles@PotterWorldW (Which leads into what I'd most like to see if there ever was a full sequel to the original series - an overarching storyline regarding the Statute of Secrecy being irrevocably broken and the fallout of what happens because of that.)
@actualsteve@Cmd_Smiles@PotterWorldW This. And if they were going to shift the story into modern times, they'd arguably need to more directly address how wizards have managed to stay hidden even with social media and cameras everywhere.
@CharlesSoule I hope you guys do reprint it at some point. The previous newsletter had said it was going up on the night of the 26th, so I wasn't looking out for it yet. I saw today's newsletter two hours after it was sent, and it was already sold out.
New EIGHT BILLION GENIES!
“The Red One” drops this week in a very limited risograph-print edition, each unique. Only available in-person at C2E2 in Chicago and online at my webstore!

@KaylaSaysMore I'd love to see a publisher try to publish All the Young Dudes without filing the serial numbers off. They'd get sued, but there's more of a grey area to that kind of thing than people think; there's genuinely a nonzero chance that it would survive the challenge.
against all odds, I was fully unprepared for just how off-putting and uncomfortable this would be to watch. something about seeing such a classically-crafted, iconic film series translated into the aesthetics of a modern HBO prestige streamer show just feels uncanny valley wrong.
@emeraldappul I wish this was available in English. They did have some of the early YouTube videos available with English subtitles, but then they stopped subtitling them and none of the Amy Malu stuff has been in English since.
@DiscussingFilm Wow, this actually looks way better than I expected! And it's interesting that they're seemingly making it the "philosopher's stone" even for the US now.
@LockandKeyHyena They'd get a lot of backlash for it, but realistically AI is already pretty close to good enough that they could produce the movie one way and then just run it through an AI to effectively put either an animated or live-action filter over it.
at this point theyre gonna start releasing disney movies concurrently like pokemon games. animated version and live action version. and you have to buy them both at full price
