Two examples, both left Lebanon and moved to the West:
•Gad Saad @GadSaad left Lebanon with his family out of fear for their lives. As Lebanese Jews, they were targets and had to flee to survive. He found safety in the West, built a successful career, and has used his voice to defend the system and values that gave him that opportunity.
•Mario Nawfal, @MarioNawfal on the other hand, left Lebanon as a child with his family in search of a better future, not under immediate threat. Yet today, he uses his platform to undermine the same Western system that enabled his success, promoting narratives aligned with the Iranian regime against the U.S., a regime that has fueled anti-Western hostility and supported militant groups across Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.
Two people from the same country. Two different paths. Two opposite outcomes.
One chose to defend the system that protected him.
The other uses that same system to attack it.
That contrast says a lot about the two faces- and consequences - of immigration.
