Today we are welcoming the Metis team to DoorDash as part of DoorDash AI Research.
For the past six months, DoorDash has partnered with Metis to build AI agents together, and we have been consistently impressed by their team. By joining forces, we aim to accelerate our plans on building agentic commerce and pushing the frontier of physical intelligence. Excited to share more there soon.
It’s still early innings with how AI will transform local commerce, and we’re looking forward to exploring those possibilities together with Aryan, Aayush, Marcus and the Metis team!

Today, we're rolling out a major refresh to Zesty to help you discover new restaurants. Thanks to agentic model improvements, it's gotten a lot smarter. I've had a ton of fun playing around with it the past few days. And we're excited to incorporate agentic capabilities like this into the DoorDash app ecosystem soon.

Like Ethan, I also grew up in CA-17 district.
I’m confident he’ll represent our community’s best interests well. Unlike Ro Khanna, who cares more about ideas that sound nice for a Presidential campaign vs. practical solutions.

He criticizes wealth creation, innovation, and hard work, while making eight figures investing in companies in his PA. I'm running for Congress to restore faith in our elected leaders. I don't believe that good government is boring. I'll be divesting my personal account, pushing for a ban on stock trading by members of Congress and their families, and fighting for term limits. This is personal for me. I supported Ro Khanna when he first ran for Congress in 2012. I was excited to see a smart Indian guy running for Congress. Unfortunately, to setup his presidential race, he's run far to the left, and completely abandoned his responsibilities to his supporters. The 17th district deserves better. We definitely believe agentic commerce will be transformative to the industry.
DoorDash will need to continue to earn the right to service customers (agents?) end-to-end (discovery, ordering, delivery, support, etc.). With agents, how customers determine their preferences, how they want support will evolve. No question we're gonna need to adapt to it. The onus will be on us to create a compelling ecosystem for agents to participate in. Not only that, we're going to need to ensure our merchant partners can do the same for their own customers.
That's why we're so focused on the agentic commerce tools we build for ourselves and our merchant partners.
The ground is shifting underneath our feet, and the industry is going to need to adapt to it.

DoorDash has learned a lot about shipping impactful AI products through our partnership with @ypatil125 @rhythmrg @lindensli at the @appliedcompute team.
We're already seeing additional traction collaborating them in other use cases we hope to share soon.

Thanks to @VickyNguyenTV and the @TODAYshow for coming out to Arizona to see our @DoorDash autonomy work up close. We shared how we’re building a multi-modal delivery network that brings together Dashers, Dot –our purpose-built autonomous delivery robot, self-driving vehicles like @Waymo, and ultra-fast drones, all orchestrated by our Autonomous Delivery Platform in real time. Seeing this system in action shows how autonomy is helping power more reliable and efficient deliveries for local businesses and consumers, whether it’s a standard Tuesday or the rush of the Big Game. But stupid wealth tax proposals like this make it irresponsible for me not to plan leaving the state. This Class B thing itself could wipe me out.

The law is so poorly written. While the lawyers who drafted it claim it doesn’t apply to publicly traded shares, they designed a legal trap where Class B voting shares would count as private shares and therefore considered ownership. It’s so dishonest.

Deepfakes will get sophisticated with time, and you will need more than a basic "real vs fake".
Our Detect-3B Omni model flags deepfakes - images, videos, audios - and gives you forensic grade deepfake detection in almost real time.
