@harrismonkey That’s a fair point. Genuine question : should/do stewards consider the outcome of a mistake when determining a penalty? Or is just the nature of the mistake made - ie braking 5m too late

@harrismonkey I’m not sure. If the rules say 1 litre and everyone else has conformed I think it’s very unlucky but entirely fair to be penalised. You need a clear line for that kind of thing so it’s black and white IMO. That said, perhaps DF is a bit harsh and could be looked at!

If the 1 lite of fuel rule that nobbled Vettel was purely an FIA tech requirement to allow them to get a sample of fuel to prove it was legal fuel, which they clearly have done, then it’s a sad and pointless penalty.
