So let me get this right: 1. MoonshotAI distills Claude from Anthropic with 3.4 million exchanges on their API. 2. Releases Kimi K2.5 as OSS. 3. Cursor RL fine-tunes Kimi K2.5 into Composer 2 Cursor now delivers Opus 4.6 performance for a fraction of the price.

This shows how SOC2 just needs to go. Accountant-designed busywork that’s just as bad if not worse than the one EU mandating one cable - totally ossifies software “process” just as software engineering undergoes a total revolution!

A detailed and brutal look at the tactics of buzzy AI compliance startup Delve "Delve built a machine designed to make clients complicit without their knowledge, to manufacture plausible deniability while producing exactly the opposite." substack.com/home/post/p-19…

@ajeetunc They don't want to lose out on training data for their heavily subsidized plans. It's reasonable to disagree with that but it's also reasonable to set the terms for a subsidized plan. Folks are allowed to use OpenCode with Anthropic at API prices.

still it doesn't change the fact that anthropic constantly try to anti-Open Source technology in the name of "safety"

imagine being a $380B company and nuking a small, community-built Open Source project just because it's better than yours and costs less.

@gaughen It's pretty awful working from memory, especially if you are using ChatGPT Instant mode. I find it does much better in my area of expertise (IT) with web search and extended thinking turned on

I didn't realize how hilariously bad artificial intelligence was until tonight, when I asked it about something I'm an expert on. I asked it about zoning laws in Pennsylvania and the AI hallucinated case law that doesn't exist. Silicon Valley wants us to rely on this slop? 😬

Everyone says “AI will take all the jobs.” If that happens… how does this future actually work? No jobs → no income → no spending. So who buys things? Who pays rent? Who keeps the economy moving? What am I missing here?

@arvidkahl I don't think no-warning, no-notice bans are appropriate. I do think people should read the terms of service and I think it's reasonable for companies to limit usage of heavily subsidized subscriptions.

Not sure how I feel about people throwing around the term “larpers” like this. The humble LARPer just wants to go to the parking lot of a shut-down Kmart to put on robe and wizard hat and cast LIGHTNING BOLT, not this. The term “poser” already exists and is more fitting.

@theo Are they wrong, though? Genuine question. Was trying to make something similar but anthropic explicitly states they don't allow it? #authentication-and-credential-use" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">code.claude.com/docs/en/legal-…

I bet you’re wondering why I keep double-spacing. You see, it draws attention to my post in the most irritating way possible. You are forced to read my writing when it’s punchy, chopped up, pseudo-poignant. Bet you’re still reading this now. Paragraphs no longer exist.

People out here just vibe coding sites where you just uploaded you PBIX file to be scanned by AI. And it has an outdated privacy as far as the AI model goes. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Come on folks. reddit.com/r/PowerBI/comm…

JUST DROPPED: Anthropic's research proves AI coding tools are secretly making developers worse. "AI use impairs conceptual understanding, code reading, and debugging without delivering significant efficiency gains." -- That's the paper's actual conclusion. 17% score drop learning new libraries with AI. Sub-40% scores when AI wrote everything. 0 measurable speed improvement. → Prompting replaces thinking, not just typing → Comprehension gaps compound — you ship code you can't debug → The productivity illusion hides until something breaks in prod Here's why this changes everything: Speed metrics look fine on a dashboard. Understanding gaps don't show up until a critical failur and when they do the whole team is lost. Forcing AI adoption for "10x output" is a slow-burning technical debt nobody is measuring.
