Exciting progress this week on the @PurpleLineMD @wmata Red Line interchange at Silver Spring! The escalators and canopy have been moved into position! This will look very cool when completed! 🚊🚇👷🏗️

@DCCelebrity I disagree with your premise (car owners are on average vastly more wealthy than non-car owners) but also the section of bike lanes NPS plans to remove did not have parking. They replaced travel lanes.

I really wish people understood this fact instead of crying about the NWS wasting money. A cup of coffee per year helping save your life isn’t a bad deal.

I saw a family at Union Station last weekend talking about the demise of the streetcar (probably coming from a ride). Kids were remarking that the streetcar died by a thousand cuts like the Circulator… I guess the kids are alright, but the adults of DC are letting them down.

With 15 days left to ride #DCStreetcar, we’re reflecting on 10 years of service along the H Street NE Corridor and Benning Road. Thank you to our riders, local businesses, and community for being part of the journey. Service will end Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Caught some late night @PurpleLineMD 🟣 testing yesterday near the College Park-UMD Metro Station! My first time seeing the LRVs in person. Always great to see more progress!

here’s a crazy fact: more Americans have been killed in disputes over parking this year than on the nyc subway also it’s called the subway not the “metro train”

.@SecDuffy: "I'm a Republican, and I love transit…You should be able to have your 14-year-old daughter get on a metro train in New York City at 7 o'clock at night and feel safe. And there's no way in hell I would ever put my daughter on the MTA in New York."
