Little side project before the next aircraft project for HMLA-369. A panel off of an AH-1Z Viper. Going away gift for the CO. Itโs very common for units to save โjunk partsโ like timed out blades or old panels to use as gifts for out going or retiring officers and senior enlisted.
Iโll add some cool artwork etc.
First I have to prep it, cleaning, sanding and smoothing it out. Iโve done all kinds of stuff like this over the years. ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ

Never hear it. I donโt wear hats everywhere saying Iโm a veteran. Iโm female so people automatically donโt assume Iโm one. Once my husband and I went out to eat on Veterans Day, everyone kept thanking him, and heโd say not me and point at me. When Iโd wear my flight jacket with my name on it people would actually ask if it was my husbands coat. I donโt really care anymore. I get my check every month and Iโm proud of my retirement.
