I don’t get what they think they’re seeing with this car. Passing is not higher than with the G7 car, in fact it is consistently lower. The drivers only like this car because they’re more familiar with its feel (it’s a platform about two decades old) plus they don’t like the rigidity of the G7 car, But that rigidity is not a net negative.
