The best part about golf is you can literally do whatever you want but I think that if you want to improve and get better - taking breakfast balls, not counting drop shots, and stealing gimmies is the easiest way to trick yourself into thinking you are a good golfer.

The Yankees are 11 games over .500 in May and they’re talking about the team like they are some deeply flawed bottom feeders.
The Yankees’ identity is elite starting pitching with power up and down the lineup. It’s extremely obvious to anyone who isn’t watching the team trying to figure out the best way to say something bad about them.

The Rays and Dodgers having the most singles, while the Yankees have the least seems meaningful until you realize that their records are within a few games of one another and they’re three of the best teams in baseball right now. This stat shows that there is no correlation between number of singles and wins. But for engagement, it’s being presented as if the opposite is true.

This is why I stopped listening to this podcast. They’re all probably good dudes, but the content isn’t for me anymore and hasn’t been for years.
Early on, it was a very insightful show. When it became a business that people depended on for their livelihoods, they started doing everything they could to attract as many eyeballs as possible. For Yankees content, that always means pandering to the doomers. That’s when they completely lost me.
This is a worthless statistic.
