@FlightOfSeven @FoxNews The person evaluating the pilot has to occasionally be evaluated on their ability to evaluate. Happens all the time in the airlines.

One thing isn’t realistic in this article. They write, “Both the instructor pilot in charge and Lobach, the co-pilot, were being evaluated during the flight and were familiar with the area and route, Fox News was told.” How can both of them be evaluated during this flight? The only other person on board was the Crew Chief and Crew Chiefs don’t evaluate pilots. The instructor Pilot (IP) can’t evaluate himself and the pilot (PI) doesn’t evaluate an IP. So this is NOT accurate information. FOX News needs to ask a follow up question about this.
