Golf Digest frequently shakes expectations with its “best new private course” announcement and this year is no different. Many may have pegged Old Barnwell or Tree Farm (nos. 2 and 3, respectively) but the less-hyped Covey at Big East Ranch swooped in for the win.

The Park Golf Course West Palm Beach, FL What a facility. Full range, par 3 course, putting course and 18 hole course. Not an easy course by any means, especially when the wind is up. If you are in the area, 10/10 would recommend coming by to check it out. Super pure

Random thought here….Any and every private club needs to build a team of 4-6 “gamers” that have either official or unofficial custody of the golf course. This team should call the shots with Superintendent on curation of the course - full stop. Fully independent of “Board”.

@ULCofSFCC Are you joking? At our club, the Man whose vision built the club, calls the shots. The advisory board is a courtesy at most. I can imagine the super would love to have more oversight. SMH
