@buffff12 @eaJPark $40 ticket implies that the ticket was $40 so let’s say that includes ticketing fees. Then there’s house audio, lighting, security. Theres a potential that the promoter is just renting the venue so there’s that cost. Does the venue have a stage, lights audio? Potential show cost.

Only guaranteed 30% with all the expenses that I assume there are, plus just hearing from smallish artists about how expensive touring is in general. You know way more about this than me so I believe you if you say it's not small, this was just an uninformed assumption on my part.

Since the topic is open.. I am curious how much you think a band gets paid to play a show. 2000 people sold out - $40 tickets. I just want to see what you think it is.

@buffff12 @eaJPark But it’s not a cut. It’s a contracted number agreed upon before the tour is even announced . Most of the time there is back end of it sells out. Which is a bonus for the artist.
