@presinzano4hob1 astutely points out how the Council last year decided to raid surplus/reserves rather than make structural changes to cut expenses, thus kicking the can down the road further. Make no mistake the patronage roles that have also remained as holdovers MUST be cut.

That would mark the only occasion that two former Beatles held the top two chart positions in America. Joining George on the track were Nicky Hopkins on piano, Klaus Voormann on bass, Jim Keltner on drums, and Gary Wright on organ. Wright would go on to enjoy two big hits in 1976, "Dream Weaver" (US #2) and "Love Is Alive" (US #2).

I guess I think that the saddest Beach Boys’ song is “When I Grow Up to Be a Man”—a series of sweet questions (“Will I love my wife…for the rest of my life?”) that are lacerating exactly because they are so naive about the greatest heartbreaks that likely await.
