This is a sad week for Europe, but this is not the end of our story. 🇬🇧🇪🇺 As our former MEP @AlynSmith once said: "I am not asking you to solve our domestic discussions. I am asking you to leave a light on so we can find our way home" We will 💚🕯️ #Brexit

Exclusive from @breeallegretti Angela Rayner compared Labour’s struggle on the doorsteps to its difficulties under Michael Foot as she warned of a loss of support from both the party’s working-class base and professionals In a leaked recording obtained by The Times, Rayner said at a fundraiser for a fellow MP in central London on Monday night: “I can say after ten years on the front line of politics, it’s not easy. At times, you get knocked around a lot, and I know that’s the case for many of the people here. “And if you’ve knocked on a door recently — or even in the Michael Foot days, as my ex-husband says to me — it was pretty bad then back in the day. But you do get people who will attack and criticise you.” She said that people feel the system is rigged against them “People voted for change when they voted for us, because they feel the system is rigged against them,” Rayner said. “They feel that nobody understands and cares about the difficulties they go through. “This isn’t just people who you would naturally associate with struggling, naturally associate with poverty. But these are professional people, people that are working really hard, people that have got two, three jobs, and they’re still not able to get to the end of the month with their wage packet. “They need to know they’ve got government on their side, and they’re impatient for change, and I understand their impatience. So I think we have to pick more fights personally.”

I have made an interactive public version of this spreadsheet, with lists of known candidates for each party by constituency. There’s a worksheet on this file for each constituency. All data on it is provisional until 9 April. I’ll try to keep it up-to-date. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

@ebadju1 @tomisin_ms There is nothing moral or legal about ignoring the rule of law and citizens rights in order to feed your ignorance and racism. It is due to people like you that the EU has been forced to seek legal redress in order to uphold the TCA to defend their citizens from people like you.

@ebadju1 @tomisin_ms If you were not an ignorant racist then you would not be listing deport as your first priority. There is nothing 'sensible' about choosing to deport people for no reason. A friend was hounded out of the UK by people similar to you and she was an architect.

@StuartBudd1 @tomisin_ms Huh? You have the wrong end of the stick Stu. I’m saying there’s 3 easy things a British government should do to solve housing issues. -Deport -Ban foreign investment in residential property -Decentralise building and incentivise local build Sensible. Centred.

@ebadju1 @GASLIGHTER_ @tomisin_ms Yes but, why are you blaming migrants? Government policy allowed the selling of UK property to Russian oligarch's. What does this have to do with your racism and wish to blame foreigners?

@GASLIGHTER_ @tomisin_ms It’s just owned by people who shouldn’t have it… No Russian oligarch should have a British house.

Remember that post-Brexit deal Johnson rushed to sign with Australia and which even the guy who signed it, Eustice, admitted was "not actually a very good deal" selling out UK farmers ? After 8yrs the EU just signed its own much bigger deal. Only people unhappy ? Australian farmers who don't get nearly as much access to EU markets as they wanted, contrary to the above. UK farmers would have had the same protection in the EU Brexit, never knowingly in the UK's interests
