Sarah Crossan will (finally) be visiting the school next Monday and I think it's fair to say that we're all a little bit excited... We've even got some Year 11 students who are coming back into school on their first day of study leave to meet her 😀 @SarahCrossan @kingschester

We love these books. I really hope the adaptation lives up to it. Just a shout out to @AliceOseman for giving a free copy of Vol 1 to school libraries. ❤️

@bookhorse It was such a pleasure to hear you talk and we were sorry that you weren't able to join the Q&A. I wondered whether you thought of the story in a different light post Covid. We have all, now, had some experience of Obi's world.

A little bit of lovely news. I cannot applaud enough the work of this book award team & all of the others out there that get young readers reading & buzzing about books. It's the cherry on top to win but it's most fantastic that these regional awards continue to run and inspire.

What a brilliant night we had for this year's @SESTBA1 Pageturners award. Thanks to @bookhorse and @SarahCrossan for such entertaining and thought provoking talks. Join us next year and see if we can top Ryan Gosling and brain composting...

@TTotenAuthor There was one I didn't enjoy but of course or students didn't always agree. That's the joy of book clubs, especially intergenerational ones😆

@Welly_Library @RutaSepetys 😳I couldn't find a paper copy from our supplier. Only an ebook. You must have a secret source...or I'm missing something. 🤦🏻 I really want that for our library @RutaSepetys is very popular and very good.

An eagerly anticpated book has just arrived in the library. 'I must betray you' by @RutaSepetys is set in Romania in 1989. I couldn't resist starting reading straightaway and it's compelling and brilliant 30 pages in. You can read a review here: kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/r…

@Elizabethutch We have students who are passionate letter writers. Theirs are 'uber' letters including drawings, tiny gifts, hand crafted paper, sealing wax and amazing calligraphy. We'd all be writing to them if there was a chance of getting that in return. 📮

I am so looking forward to this, to be able to plan our Gala again and with such great books, what a pleasure.
