I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Dumpsters on fire off the shoulder of Orion Street. I watched as I-beams littered the construction site near the Tannhäuser Gated Community. All those moments will be lost in time, like droplets from a refreshing water hose. Time to go.................... the street lights are on.

It won't. Terrorists were already terrorizing. If anything, there is LESS incentive for them to do so now. Hell, Iran tried several times to kill Trump already and some people were just at trial for it the other day. They just weren't successful at it because competent people don't tend to be death cultists.

@edwest Caldwell is the smartest US commentator from the right, but I think this talk about Trump's "base" is wrong. It's true of certain intellectuals, but overwhelming majorities of Republicans are thrilled to be pummeling Iran. Maybe, generously, 15% of Trump voters are unhappy.

According to Wallace, they practically stalemated and "beat the crap out of each other". Chuck was trained in kickboxing/boxing by Benny The Jet Urquidez and was also trained in BJJ by the Gracies and Machados for 20 years. Even being able to submit Carlos Machado himself on occasion. Chuck had a 315 Ibs bench press at 180 lbs bodyweight and was said to have a grip back in the day that nobody could escape from because he was so strong. Even Jean Claude Van Damme said he'd never fight Chuck Norris, despite being a kickboxing world champion himself. Chuck held a 10th degree black belt in Chun Kuk Do, a 9th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, an 8th degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 5th degree black belt in Karate, a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a black belt in Judo. I'm struck by all the righties who asked, "why is this information coming out now?" and inferred there was some secret agenda behind it. It was in the first paragraphs of the NY Times article. "Recently, more than 50 years later, Ms. Ana Murguia learned that a street near her home in the Central California city of Bakersfield was in the process of being renamed. City officials want to name it in honor of her abuser. Cesar Chavez Boulevard." That prompted her to come forward. And while I understand people wishing she had come forward sooner, I don't spend a lot of time second-guessing how sex abuse victims deal with what they've been through.
