@mrddmia I'm listening to the arguments on Bannon's War Room from this morning. To me it doesn't sound too hopeful that Pres. Trump is going to get a positive ruling. Most justices sound very skeptical of John Sauer's arguments.

If the Supreme Court follows the law, the Supreme Court will rule 6-3 against birthright citizenship for illegals.
If the Supreme Court follows the politics, the Supreme Court will rule 7-2 for birthright citizenship for 1.5 million Chinese birth tourists.

The most direct shot at a GOP House majority hinges on:
1) VA referendum failing
2) DeSantis picking up 5 seats in FL
That would take the below safe estimate to 205-191 R, then if we lean the leaners the same way, put us as 212-204 R.
That would mean the GOP would need 6 of the 19 tossups to win a 218-217 majority.
With a fair 2020 census there would be no race at all.

This is why I believe the House winner holds between 220-229 seats. No large majority likely, and of course VA looms large. I consider 396 seats largely uncompetitive. 200-196 R When I lean 20 more seats (ones I have a feeling on), I get 209-207 D. That leaves 19 seats to determine the majority. People need to cut the damn drama already and get smart on offense and defense where appropriate.

How is this even a serious conversation?
The idea that ANYONE can fly from ANYWHERE into America, have a baby, then fly back with citizenship is unserious.
And yet, that’s exactly what is happening.
Birthright citizenship should be rejected by SCOTUS immediately.

NOT JUST CHINA. In southern AZ, women come across the border heavily pregnant. In active labor sometimes. They deliver.
They rent a US address, apply for SNAP and medicaid for the kid.
These kids live over in mexico, cross the border for school and medical care, parents shop at the grocery stores and walmarts in border towns with their SNAP. Most of the women stip at 6 kids, as that is when SNAP benefits max out.
This is one reason the hospitals in AZ by the border suck and are often overrun.

It's so much worse than you can imagine...
China has ENTIRE AGENCIES dedicated to coordinating "birth tourism."
Pregnant women fly in on tourist visas, have babies at US hospitals, and return home with an American passport for their kids.
We are literally handing citizenship to foreign nationals who have never set foot here as an adult, owes nothing to this country, and may actively oppose its interests.
