The UK Prime Minister Kier Starmer announced this morning that the United Kingdom would be banning social media for anyone under the age of 16. 🇬🇧
Spoiler alert: NONE of this has anything to do with “protecting the kids.”
If it did, the UK government would be taking serious steps to end grooming gangs, stop mass migration, and end violent crime… or at the very least, include Bluesky on the social media ban.
But they aren’t.
This is about the entrenched political elite and their crippling fear that young people overwhelmingly are rejecting our parents’ politics. 🫡
Australia, Canada, and the UK have been considering or already enacted bans like this one—what do you think about them? 👀
