TEXTBOOK LDS I believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in his Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. The goal of this account is to create a useful repository of scriptural knowledge, thought, and answers, for the use of Christians of all kinds, as well as others.

@GarveBrahman @ThoughtfulSaint If you get the triple combination you can study the Doctrine and Covenants as well, which are the closest a book has come in my opinion to replicating the character and value of the New Testament in writing.

If there was *ANY* historical evidence for the Book of Mormon I would take the truth claims of Mormonism very seriously. There is NONE. The Book of Mormon is not historical. It is 19th century fiction authored by Joseph Smith 🤙 @ThoughtfulSaint

@XGolemgesk7208 @DelusionPosting At the end of Unitarianism is the same thing at the end of Trinitarianism: knowing the Godhead. Both unitatianism and trinitarianism are true when soundly derived from the Nicene creed.

@USNVetDad @DelusionPosting Sola Fide and Sola Scriptura I understand. I do not know what Sola Gratia is supposed to mean - is it a positive gracious act? I see it more as a capacity for man to choose given his agency. But a lot is indeed predetermined. Is Sola Gratia an antithesis to an important error?

@j_divis They want to be able to coerce LDS believers to be like them - unsaved and dependent on others's witnesses to simulate the true faith. They are apostates and are generally unreachable. They grow worse by the day as their churches continually fail. Only the gospel can help.

@TextbookLDS Oh, this? I read all of this a long time ago. The notion that the Book of Mormon is centered in Africa is lunacy. It’s just a 19th century fraud that originated in America.

The world doesn’t need more transgender participation in weird Mormon rituals. There are actual problems: this isn’t one of them. Mehta is not my kind of atheist.

@JoelMCurzon Well, honestly I'd start with the Doctrine and Covenants - there are a lot of improvements to the way the faith is explained, so as to ensure independent thought above all else. I referred originally to the Book of Mormon though, which is endlessly challenging but beneficial.

@JoelMCurzon You should read the Book - not from any perspective more than curiosity. It isn't designed to bind the conscience. It is also very entertaining. I believe it is from Beta Israel in Ethiopia.

The most pure form of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be found in the Bible and The Book of Mormon. These two volumes of books are the Word of the Word.

@beckevangelista The Jesus of revelation doesn't require the assent of the commandments of man in traditions which are scattered and divided.

@ibrycecrawford Any thoughts on the theory that the Book of Mormon is actually from Ethiopia?

UPDATE: Islam lasted 36 hours. I was doing great. I had the outfit. I was learning the prayers. I was even considering growing out my beard. Then last night I was reading the Quran and I got to the parts about Moses and I thought "wait, this is just a remix." So I went to the source material. I picked up the Torah. And it hit me like a freight train. But here's what really sealed it. I started watching Rabbi Tovia Singer videos at 2am. Big mistake. This man dismantles the Christian reading of the Old Testament like he's performing surgery with a butter knife. Every verse I was ever taught pointed to Jesus? Gone. Ripped out. Explained in its original Hebrew context. By the fourth video I was pacing my living room saying "they lied to us about Isaiah 53" out loud to nobody. My cat left the room. I called @Gnosisinformant . He said "Derek, please don't." I said "Neal, I think Judaism was right all along. Christianity AND Islam are just fan fiction. We need to go back to the original." He said "you were Catholic 72 hours ago." I said "and that's 72 hours I'll never get back." Then I called Justin from Deconstruction Zone. I figured he'd talk me down. Instead he was quiet for a long time and then said "Derek, I've been watching Tovia Singer too." My blood went cold. He said "I'm not converting. But I did cancel my Easter plans." I said "Justin, that's how it starts." He said "I know. I can't stop watching. The man is hypnotic." We have a Tovia Singer problem in this community and nobody is talking about it. I then texted Trent Horn to let him know. He didn't call. He just sent me a single emoji. The flat mouth face. No words. Just the emoji. I think I've actually broken this man. I texted back "Trent, Rabbi Singer says your entire religion is based on a mistranslation." He left me on read. Just like Wes Huff. The Christian men in my life are spiritually ghosting me. I reached out to a local rabbi to ask about conversion. He said the process takes about a year. I said "a YEAR? Christianity took me eleven minutes and an email from Trent Horn." He said "that's exactly why we take a year." Honestly, respect. I've also renamed the channel again. MythSubmission is now MythTorah. My first video will be "Why the New Testament Is Unauthorized Fan Fiction: A Return to the Source Code." My second video will be a four-hour reaction to Rabbi Tovia Singer's entire channel where I just nod and say "yep" over and over. Ryann found the hat and the prayer shawl on the kitchen table this morning and didn't even say anything. She just poured her coffee and walked away. I think she's given up. Wes Huff: still on read.

@marcxgajeton Yes - the Book of Mormon, rather than being a falsified tangled mess of false binding commandments of man, is actually a wonderful read, only it is originally from east Africa.

@MikeTheZombi @haiku757 Matthew is indeed the finest, bit the order of the books isn't set in stone - look at Hebrews for instance. And I found the perfect place for it as well.

@TextbookLDS @haiku757 The canonical order is Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, which also happens to be the order that Irenaeus of Lyon in about 180 AD recorded that they were written in.

@TextbookLDS @redeemed_zoomer It depends, my denom managed to codify that the Bible condemns homosexual acts and churches who want to stay in the denom must abide by this and remove from office leaders who engage in those acts but not all other denoms have the heirarchy structure to do it the same way
