@hankrsmith 3 Nephi 9:15 "Behold, I am Jesus Christ the Son of God. I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are. I was with the Father from the beginning. I am in the Father, and the Father in me; and in me hath the Father glorified his name."

@joinedphalanges @MattTestifies I literally screenshot you the text after first hand writing it out. Either way, the truth is the truth no matter which source I use. You can't back up your false doctrine with scriptures from the old testament, it's Smith's teachings, not God's, or else show He said it.

Joseph Smith was so based he didn’t found a trend, a brand, or a movement. He stood in a grove, got an answer from God, and restored the Church of Jesus Christ.

@joinedphalanges @MattTestifies You lose your argument and immediately go to personal attack, I'll take that as acknowledgement. Repent your false doctrine.

@joinedphalanges @MattTestifies Also Genesis 3 22 shows that the Father's name isn't Elohim like Smith taught as well. So technically you lost twice in one verse, you should read the original Hebrew.

@_tfTGS @MattTestifies Most Christian denominations view baptism as tied to the concept of the new covenant. Is English your first language? You form your questions in a way that leaves and opportunity to backtrack.

@Midjorityrules @MattTestifies Doesn't say that. Just read, stop your speculation. Paul warned Timothy to stop false teachers from promoting fruitless debates and conjectures.

@joinedphalanges @MattTestifies Apparently you have reading comprehension issues. "Has become like them knowing both good and evil" also that, this has now happened to man. I said, show me where God the Father was ever shown to be a mortal man who earned Godhood. You failed so far, try again.

@_tfTGS @MattTestifies Which way to you want it? First you say that "nobody else treats baptism as a covenant", which I guessed was only you, for you speak for no other. Then you say that baptism "is in and of itself a covenant." The Lord does not like fence sitters. Make up your mind.

@joinedphalanges @MattTestifies The baptism is in and of itself a covenant to take his name upon yourself. you can't be baptized without making this covenant. You can't be baptized if you're not capable of making this covenant. The "new covenant" is the temple covenants

@Midjorityrules @MattTestifies You keep skipping around, spinning your wheels. Genesis 3:22 "The man has become like one of us." Transitive property, if we are like him, then he is like us, only wiser and more intelligent. He is our God and even if we were to ascend to his level, he would still be our God.

@joinedphalanges @MattTestifies Show me anywhere in scripture in the old testament that even hints that God the Father was once a mortal man who earned Godhood.

What? Baptism a visible marker of being part of God's covenant people under the new covenant prophesied in Jeremiah 31:31-34 and fulfilled in Christ. The act of Baptism starts THE covenant, you take his name and are baptized, he in turn will forgive you of your sins, if you keep his commandments. Seems you are the only one that does not see it as a covenant.

@MattTestifies @joinedphalanges It's not a revealed "exception" it is literally the design of how to address one's ability to make covenants. There are others who can be much older who cannot get baptized because they do not have the capacity to make a covenant.

@joinedphalanges @MattTestifies So you're teaching that God the Father was once a mortal man who practiced polygamy on another earth and died and was exalted to Godhood and was one of many and the only way to reach the highest glory, Godhood, is to enter polygamy? And that you would govern your own worlds?
