Today, I did my first pitch sharing Omnalis at Stanford’s Healthcare AI Summit.
My demo? Deck? Wrong version.
I should’ve checked in during the tech check.
I should’ve practiced more.
An investor called it a Cop Out in front of the room of hundreds of founders, investors, and C-suites.
Today, I walked away with an important wake-up call. Learning without failures is impossible as a founder. Being ready for whatever gets thrown your way with composure? Inevitable.

Hyper technical, 19-25ish, couple past jobs, seen greatness somewhere, has great product taste & can attract top talent Right to win: extreme product velocity 2. Hyper competent founder coming out of industry w a clear problem to solve in a large market, knows who to hire, what customers to sell to & has roadmap to execute against. You are only underwriting execution risk & capital is just a lubricant, not a need. Right to win: built-in distribution advantage The ideal founder is someone who has built-in distribution + product velocity and can recruit the best people.

You can launch the same product 3 times on X within 2 weeks and get completely different results.
First launch: 2K views
Second launch (new hook): 50K views
Third launch (more product demo–focused): 200K+ views
Same product. Different execution.
In this case, the first video was actually the most expensive to produce, but the value prop didn’t resonate. The third launch was done at 2 AM with just a webcam and a laptop, and it crushed.
Stop putting all your eggs in one launch basket. If you launch and get 30 views, nobody has heard about your product yet, you should relaunch ASAP.
