@senkijk It's a bit complicated. If we're talking about units, it's using a propulsive field. Each unit has an area around them, that other units are pushed away by. Similarly, this also makes units prefer pathing towards area with less of that propulsive field, they seek out lone areas

@ThingOnItsOwn Hey, what type of collision avoidance is Hero's Hour using? Been investigating on this topic for some time and I'm very curious. Thanks in advance!

@CollinHarsin @LautaroArino @ObsidianPrince @HoodedHorseInc One of them is a focus on clearer battles as you mentioned. There's a lot of things meant for this. Some is streamlining unit graphics. Some is in clearer graphics for important events. Some is in making mechanics such as unit abilities more predictable. And some is in game rules

@ThingOnItsOwn @LautaroArino @ObsidianPrince @HoodedHorseInc My one issue with these types of games is that its hard to tell whats happening on screen. You completely fixed that! The battles look batshit and I love it. What lessons from the first game are you bringing from to this one?

@RealDevDaNerd I believe it's in the considerations of our partner responsible for ports, but it's very early in the pipeline and likely won't happen, so no promises

@ThingOnItsOwn Is there any chance of an Xbox release now that there's a Switch version that's doing well?

@Junjayyan If you're on steam, there's a fix in the public beta. I am very aware of the bug you're referring to and have not yet pushed a patch to live since this bug snuck in when I skipped my normal steps of game development, so it'd be ironic to fix it via hotfix.

@ThingOnItsOwn Will Hero's Hour still receive maintenance? It's been nearly two months since the last update, recently, a bug during battles has caused my game to crash. It doesn't necessarily need to be updated weekly like another HoMM game, Pennon and Battle, but bugs do need to be fixed.

@HerrAshmoo Hi! Currently there's been a lot of trouble just making a patch to fix the current switch-specific bugs (it should be right around the corner now though), so the topic of larger updates hasn't even been settled. Best case, this is a long term thing, unfortunately

@Dragon_Dropper I found an unobtrusive way to add it to the UI - once v2.7 comes out, you'll be able to just hover over the Command stat to see your current total command limit and the current size of your army

Hey, @ThingOnItsOwn, the feature I wish for more than anything in Hero's Hour is a small one, but it would be wonderful -- being able to see a hero's army power on their character sheet.

@Dragon_Dropper Hmm, I'll have to look into where that might fit. That UI element is rather saturated already. But I have seen this suggestion quite a few times now, so I'll do my best

@ThingOnItsOwn hey i got the game on the switch, but the faction's abilities are all messed up, the Decay Heroes have alchemy and Pyre has Bane?? will there be a update to fix this?

With all the changes to map generation, water graphics, sea buildings, map specific alternate win conditions, etc., I feel like v2.7 is becoming my opportunity to do the v1.1 update the way it should have been done originally #gamedev #heroshour #indiedev #procgen
