Every time I start a new edit, I tear up a little, knowing an author has trusted me to read their work and find all the areas where small changes can make a difference in reader comprehension and opinion. Frankly, it's overwhelming.

Growing up as a fat girl gave me a different relationship with purity culture than what I hear some women talk about now. Is this true for others who were not "conventionally attractive", too? I wasn't afraid of making someone stumble, instead I was afraid I never could.

@LucyMason217 I find weaving in ends is soothing. But then, I haven't done any knitting in the last year. It's like my brain has rebelled against doing any fiber arts this last year. It's such a bummer because my stash is finally nicely organized.

@LucyMason217 basically i suffer from awful insomnia but am exhausted after i eat dinner.. so i sleep for a couple of hours from 6.30 to 9 or 10 and then my insomnia wakes me up for a few more hours and then i sleep from the early hours...

@erbrooker @NatasciaMF Hospitalised last summer in a single room. Took in my own hepa filter. Almost every member of staff asked me what it was which I found surprising. Just down the corridor many had Covid. Yet staff keen to tell me I didn’t need to wear a mask when I had to be in the corridor!

@Nancy87276179 @CarissasNewLife Same, Nancy. They thought they were caring, but nope. Instead, they gave me an eating disorder. I'm in my 40s and haven't gotten over the food insecurity issues. Oh, and I'm way fatter than I was back then.

@CarissasNewLife I was a fat kid, still fat. I can remember innumerable times as a child, we’d be out to eat and I’d get my dessert and end up choking it down with tears in my eyes from the comments my family were making. I still weep for that little girl.
