My wife and I got mugged in Paris last week A man with a knife ran up to us next to Eiffel Tower "Give me your fucking phone right now" he said to me I handed over my Siemens cell phone immediately "Yalla, hers too" he shouted I raised my eyebrow "Did I notice a lovely Arabic accent, young man? I warmly said to him, and immediately felt ashamed for being scared This poor man is from abroad and simply still adjusting to the European culture "Take this too, my friend" I said and ripped the pearl necklace off my wife's neck "What the fuck are you doing?!" she started crying "Be quiet. This man is struggling. He needs it more than us" I said He took everything and ran away Sure, theft is never good, but I would rather get robbed in a diverse city, than be safe in a racist white one

@KhalidQadir @NVanCaroline Fulmer in my opinion is a socialist! Black is recycled Gordon Campbell era BC Liberal! @KerryLynneFindl has by far the most experience, expertise, knowledge, skills and integrity to lead our party and province!

We can’t allow David Eby to strip our members of their voice in selecting the leader that takes our party into the next election, whenever it takes place. I want to see the NDP defeated at the earliest opportunity. I want to see DRIPA repealed in full, not ‘suspended.’ But if a snap election is called, I’m asking LEOC to expedite the leadership vote to ensure the tens of thousands of people who signed up for this party get their say. They were promised a vote, and they must get that vote, whether they cast it for me or any other candidate in this race.

Hungarians voted for change and a renewed commitment to democratic institutions after years of erosion under Viktor Orbán. A powerful and positive signal to democracies around the world that citizens can reclaim institutions and restore respect for rights.

@Victoria59L This is low form of propaganda. It is irrelevant, and completely useless as an objective piece of evidence in a serious discussion of issues affecting Canadians. Name calling, and denigration are hall marks of authoritarianism. No place for this in Can.

It was tremendous to be out celebrating Vaisakhi today, connecting with community members, hearing their stories, and being a part of such an important day for Sikhs around the world. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share what matters most to you and your families. If you haven't had a chance, sign up for a BC Conservative membership today - conservativebc.ca/black/

🚨BREAKING: FedEx driver who abducted and strangled 7-year-old Athena Strand told investigators, 'If you give me a month with my family, so I can have Christmas with my son, I'll tell you everything.' Tanner Horner, 34, opened the interview saying, “I imagine that you have, basically, a list and bullet points that you want to know from me.” Horner then said, “There’s only one thing in this world that I want. I want a month.” He added, “You can’t do that, I understand. Even if y’all have to put an ankle monitor on me, GPS monitor, check-ups with you.” Horner told investigators, “If you give me a month with my family, so I can have Christmas with my son, I’ll tell you everything.” When told that was not possible while he was under arrest for murder, he replied, “Either way, that’s basically my price.”

🚨BREAKING: The FedEx driver who abducted and strangled 7-year-old girl in North Texas complained to police about missing out on watching his son grow up after being arrested for murder Detectives urged Tanner Horner, 34, to help locate 7-year-old Athena Strand’s body after he admitted, “I killed her” and said he “kind of tossed her” remains in bushes Horner begged officers to “shoot him” after confessing to the murder “I’m going to miss out on this part of my child’s f***ing life, OK? I can’t.” “This isn’t one of those probation things. This is one of those I’m going away for a long time things, and I’m going to miss out on all of my f***ing son’s life. I would rather die.” The detective told him, “This is a hard thing. It is a hard thing. But I tell you this, Tanner, you’re going to be OK.” Horner answered, “No. I’m not. I’m going to miss out on all my son’s Christmases, his birthdays, and growing up. I’m going to miss out on everything. All because I listened to some stupid voice that isn’t probably even there.”
