I loathe sounding like a boomer. But. When I was a kid, Home Depot was run entirely by guys who could make a dovetail joint with a pocket knife. Hobby lobby was staffed by grammas who could make a quilt by hand out of old t shirts (not a metaphor - I own one). Yesterday, we visited Home Depot and were greeted only by people who speak so little English they didn’t know what a respirator was. Not a single one of them have built anything in their life. The fabric desk at hobby lobby had a lady in a hijab who also didn’t speak English and couldn’t tell us the difference between two fabrics. Tried enjoying a quiet day at the lake today. Thankfully, I got to experience full cultural enrichment while enjoying my peaceful day out (sound on). I miss the country I knew.

We’ve ran surveys with HS coaching asking what they are seeing in incoming freshman to be the biggest areas of weakness. A majority have listed “Base Running” as one of the biggest. With how much baseball most of these kids play between 8-14 years old, why do we think HS coaches are seeing this?

@NickChaps96 Wife and I are teachers. Family of 4. We go for 9 nights on-grounds, value resort. 6 days in parks (with 2 rest days every 3rd day). No lightning lanes. No meal plan (though we do 2 or 3 sit down meals and 1 character meal). All in, gas for travel and all food included, under $8k

I read today in a post on here that the pope made a statement that would lead to the papacy accepting the alternate lifestyle. in the statement he lowered sexual morality to less than the morality of being pc. and doing so in a political way. basically saying sexual morality is not as important as freedom or other statehood things. and yes i did see a few catholic churches fly either the gay pride flag, or the equality flag.

When has the Catholic Church bowed to the LGBT agenda? Does it fly the pride flags? Does it permit gay marriage? Does it teach that men can become women or vice versa? There is a profound difference between extending Christ’s love and compassion to the sinner, always with the hope of repentance and conversion, and falsely accepting or celebrating sin itself. The Catholic Church does not, and never will, approve of homosexuality.

Let me get this straight from my point of view. I did not leave the church. the church left me. when the church decided to ignore the bible in the quest to bring in more people for their money, when the church says we can only grant you such and such if you make a huge donation. when the church overlooks the sins of sex because they want to be PC. when the church instead of taking in the sinners and showing them the way, simply accepts the sin. that is where the church left me.
